Gertrude Jekylls Garden fork and lawn shears placed on an old mill grindstone at Munstead Wood (Grade I listed), the home of influential British horticulturist, garden designer, artist and writer Gertrude Jekyll (1843-1932). The house was designed by Edwin Lutyens and was completed in 1896. The garden was created by Jekyll 13 years before the house was built, during which time she in The Hut next door. The main (garden) areas of specific interest are The Nut Walk, the Primrose Garden, the Spring Garden, the Azaleas and Rhododendrons (in the woodland), the Three Corner Garden and the Main Border. The lawn shears were discovered in a tool shed at Munstead Wood. Date: 2016
