Mrs Adair
Mrs Adair, formerly American heiress Cornelia Wadsworth. Married her second husband, the wealthy Irishman, Mr John George Adair, in 1867. A leading society hostess during the Edwardian era. Owned, a big London house at 30, Curzon Street, Adair Place near Ascot and Glenveagh Castle near Letterkenny in Ireland. Gave many balls, dinners and parties at her London residence. Date: 1910
