Landore Viaduct construction, near Swansea, South Wales
View of construction work on the Landore Viaduct, over the Swansea valley and the River Tawe, on the Great Western Railway, Glamorgan, South Wales. The original timber viaduct was designed by Brunel, and completed in 1852. The new structure, completed in 1889, used wrought iron for the central span.

An advertisement for Liberty's new shops about to open in Argyll Place, off Regent Street, London. Liberty & Co have had the exterior and interior built in 16th century style, with timbers from two old warships, the HMS Hindustan and the HMS Impregnable.
