First produced at Kings, Southsea, on 14th March and at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 10th May 1927. The skier represents Act II, in the Swiss Alps; below him, the blue train, over which the young women are clambering, is the Riviera Express of Act III. Touring to the Hippodrome in Lewisham on 24th October 1927. Date: 1927

The Padres room, Posen, 1941

Padre's room in a British prisoner of war camp during World War Two. The sketch was made in Stalag XXI D in Posen, Poland, by Lieutenant J F Watton of the 4th Border Regiment who was captured near the Somme in June 1940. The sketch was passed by the German censor before bing reproduced in The Illustrated London News. Date: 1941
