Sealed Orders by Cecil Raleigh and Henry Hamilton
Promotional postcard for Sealed Orders by Cecil Raleigh and Henry Hamilton. First produced Drury Lane Theatre, 11th September 1913. The play is a scenic spectacle: on-stage battleship; a struggle to the death in an "air-ship". A reviewer of the time wrote: "A genuine Drury Lane drama! A play of incident, of striking situations and amazing scenic effects! No one should miss it." The quarrelling villains , locked in a death struggle, fall out of the airship. Photograph of the five tags attached to the undervest, signed by witnesses at the Edinburgh exposure of the Scottish medium Helen Duncan, 11 May 1933. The undervest masqueraded as the spirit "Peggy". This is one of series of photographs of Harry Price's investigations into the mediumship of Helen Duncan and of Esson Maule, who was involved with the exposure of Helen Duncan during a sance in Edinburgh.
