Advert for Imperial Chemical Industries; shortage of paper
During World War Two, the growing shortage of paper from overseas meant that the daily papers shrinked in size. Britain's public was encouraged to save every scrap of paper. British chemical industry was looking into methods of recovering new paper from old.
