Fires on the Spanish coast blaze in the distance? The caption below reads "England is Watching". The image corresponds most closely to Act III scene 2 On board The Revenge at sea. Three women police officers in uniform, London

Three female Metropolitan Police officers pose in their uniforms (winter dress, with overcoats) -- an inspector, a sergeant and a constable. The women are Constable Violet Butcher, Inspector Lily Dawes and Sergeant Florence Pike. The women's uniform was updated in 1931, when a white shirt and tie were introduced, the hat badge became smaller and shoes replaced boots. Date: circa 1933
