Royal Wedding 1923 - wedding presents

King George V and Queen Mary's gifts to the Duke and Duchess of York on the occasion of their marriage on 26 April 1923. They include a necklace from Queen Alexandra, a jewellery suite from Queen Mary, and a tiara with matching brooch, necklace and earrings from the King. Also shown is a historic clock made by John Smith of Pittenweem in 1804, presented by the City of Glasgow and two magnificent vases presented by the Prince Regent of Japan. Date: 1923
