The Arboretum, a public park near the centre of Derby, with a fountain (left) and a statue of Sir Frederick Henry Royce (1863-1933), the English engineer and automobile manufacturer. The statue was installed in the park in 1923, moved to the River (or Riverside) Gardens in 1972, and then to Rolls Royce's Moor Lane site in 1990

Mitchells and Butlers Brewery Malting Floor
The Malting Floor at the Mitchells and Butlers Cape Hill Brewery, Smethwick, West Midlands. Barley grain lies a foot deep on the floor for ten days, being constantly turned, until each grain sprouts roots, at which point it is ready for the kiln. Date: 1909
