David Wright woman with pen and note paper
Elegant woman with a pen and note paper -- perhaps writing to the naval officer in the photo on her table -- representing The Girls They Left Behind. David Wright (1912 - 1967), was a popular British artist specialising in glamour. His series of pin-ups for The Sketch during the World War II period were immensely popular and morale-boosting to troops.
