The Dollar Princess by A. M. Willner (11 July 1859 27 October 1929) and F. Gruenbaum (7 April 1880 - 14 January 1941), with music by Leo Fall (2 February 1873 16 September 1925). (Theater an der Wien, Vienna on 2nd November 1907). English adaptation by Basil Hood. First produced at Dalys Theatre, on 25th September 1909. The artist is R. Pannett from photos of Lily Elsie as Alice and Robert Michaelis as Freddy. George Edwardess Co. touring to Kennington Theatre on 24th November 1913. The Merry Widow was also offered during three nights of the week. Reproduced in The Stage Year Book 1911 between pp 10 and 11. Date: 1913

HMS Marlborough - Departure of First Lord of the Admiralty

HMS Marlborough - Departure of First Lord of the Admiralty following a highly satisfactory inspection of the troops. HMS Marlborough was an Iron Duke-class battleship of the British Royal Navy, named in honour of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough. Built at Devonport Royal Dockyard between January 1912 and June 1914 and entered service just prior to First World War. Assigned to the Mediterranean Fleet after the war, Marlborough took part in the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War (in the Black Sea 191920). She was also involved in the Greco-Turkish War. Date: 1923
