Bill-posting in London - Cherets's posters
Side of a London building plastered in posters in 1893. Central are posters for Geraudel's pastilles, designed by the great French posterist, Jules Cheret. This picture was published in The Illustrated Sporting & Dramatic News in 1893, at time at which there was a developing interest in the picture poster in Britain, with French poster artists deeply admired.
