Battle of Milazzo

During the Battle of Milazzo (Melazzo) on Sicily, an English battalion fighting on Garibaldi's side, in action at the foot of the round tower of the town's citadel, which was being defended by the Neapolitan troops. The latter ultimately surrendered, resulting in a victory for Garibaldi. Date: July 1860
