Thanks! Buying British - has put me in a job. Part of a government campaign to tackle a balance of payments crisis, reinforced by a speech by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII), promoting the importance of buying from British farms and factories to reduce unemployment and boost the national economy, with the second choice being to buy from the British Empire.
