Quay at Great Yarmouth - Herring Harvest 1905
Steam drifters engaged in herring fishery lying alongside. The curiously shaped double baskets seen on the floor are called lasts'. During the season, herring would fill some 38,700 would be caught, cleaned and sent away to be sold.

Tientsin (Tianjin) dockside
A good view of Tientsin (now Tianjin) dockside in China, showing the railway sidings next to the embarkation platform for the troopship moored alongside. The British Inniskilling Fusiliers are on board the train about to transfer to the ship for return to Europe and the battlefields of the First World War. Date: C.1914
