Promotional postcard for His House in Order by Arthur W Pinero. George Alexander, whose name is given on the right, was actor manager for a quarter of a century from 1891. This image shows directions to the St James' Theatre and also shows the theatres telegraph address as Ruritania, London in honour of the setting for The Prisoner of Zenda , one of Alexanders great hits.
