Illustration by A. C. Michael showing a wounded British Prisoner-of-War with German soldiers laughing and drinking in the background. The illustration accompanies text stressing the importance of treating POWs humanely in line with the peace treaty signed by Germany in 1907. There had been reports that British soldiers had been mistreated and deprived of their belongings while POWs.
