Two Boy Scouts cleaning a street sign in Downshire Hill, Hampstead, north-west London during Scout Job Week. In their spare time, 400 Scouts and Cubs in Hampstead went out with scrubbing brushes and buckets to clean the street signs in the area. Shown here are Bobby St John Cooper (nearest) and Patrick Sottiswood.

Performing bear at the London Hippodrome

A Bright Little Bruin at the Hippodrome'. A bear cub performing at the London Hippodrome in 1905. His act consisted of him riding on the back of a pony and then jumping onto a bar where he balanced until the pony had done another circuit of the arena and had returned for him to hop on again. Date: 1905

Badez-Giraud-Mercier Bagimer II Alouette F-PFAR

Badez-Giraud-Mercier Bagimer II Alouette F-PFAR (msn 01)). The first Bagimer was constructed using elements of Piper Cubs, powered by a 75hp Minie 4C2 engine. Later the engine was replaced by a 65hp Continental A65 engine and re-named Bagimer II. A second aircraft was built by members of the Aero-club de Pithiviers. Date: 1950s
