Promotional postcard for Rope by Patrick Hamilton. First produced at the Ambassadors Theatre, 25th April 1929 (apart from one performance at the Strand Theatre). The plot revolves around two students who have murdered their friend and placed his body in a chest at the beginning of the play. They proceed to host a party for his friends and family at which the chest containing his corpse is used as a buffet. Date: 1928
