Boy scouts at 'The Sketch' offices

Photograph of a party of boy scouts from South-East London, invited to the offices of The Illustrated London News and Sketch in 1911. The group of eighty, who visited under the command of Captain Boyes, are shown here in the composing room. Afterwards, the boys were treated to tea at the Gaiety restaurant and 'roused the Strand by giving lusty cheers for 'The Sketch' and the 'Illustrated London News'. Date: 4th January 1911
