Tatler article featuring Alfred Lester and H G Pelissier

Article on page 39 of the Tatler, 13th October 1909, featuring comedians Alfred Lester and Harry Gabriel Pelissier smoking pipes and drinking from steins. Lester's gloomy stage persona was seen to its quintessential comic effect in the long-running musical The Arcadians (1909) in which he delivered optimistic lyrics in a lugubrious manner. Pelissier, however, looks decidedly unjolly even though his off-stage persona was the complete opposite. Date: 13th October 1909
