Group photo, ten women police officers of the Met Police, outside the KLM (Dutch airline) offices. They were on their way to Nijmegen, to take part in the Marches. Those present include WPS Olive Reeve and WPCs Betty Neale, Gillian Ingall, Glynis Davison, Diane Johns, Eileen Dudley, and Carol Keir (or Gibson). Women police officers first took part in the Nijmegen Marches in 1952. Date: 1957

William Gladstone congratulates John Bright on his appointment as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and hopes he will help settle things with the Ashanti warrior standing on the left, holding a rifle. Bright (a peace-loving Quaker) replies that fighting isn't quite his thing, but... Date: 1873
