Music cover, Der Orlow, an operetta in three acts, with words by Ernst Marischka and Bruno Granichstaedten and music by Bruno Granichstaedten (1879-1944). Premiere at the Theater am der Wien (Vienna, Austria). Piano score with text. It is a Viennese operetta with jazz and blues music included. The title refers to a diamond.

Construction of the Battle of Nations memorial, Leipzig, 191
Illustration showing the construction of the huge Battle of Nations memorial monument at Leipzig to commemorate the battle fought in and around Leipzig against Napoleon. The huge erection towers to a height of 300 feet. Designed by Bruno Schmitz, it was made of cement and granite the stones weighed up to eighteen tons each and the total cost was 300, 000 of which 12, 000 was spent on the very visible scaffolding. The figures shown in the drawing are some of the dozen stone giants, each 39 feet high which surround the monument at 230 feet. Date: 1911
