Oxbridge Gent in extensive striped rowing attire Featured Print

Oxbridge Gent in extensive striped rowing attire

'Costume's Everything' - the translated greek on the card front reads: 'Everyone thinks that he stands high or low in thinking.' An Oxbridge rower modelling all of the requisite attire for a riverside sportsman, quite how adept he was in the bow seat is questionable (possibly the college 3rd eight....!). Date: 1902

1960s fashion in London Life magazine

Part of a fashion spread in extremely groovy, but short-lived London Life magazine in 1966. Man on the left wears a pillar box red blazer by Rodex, chosen by the British Menswear Guild for their forthcoming exhibition at the Design Centre, exclusive to Lillywhites. Girl on the right wears a short yellow and white printed culotte dress, 9 guineas at Quorum worn with big gilt hoop earrings and chiffon scarf, both from Harrods.
