Princess Alice of Albany, later Countess of Athlone (seated) (1883-1981) and Prince Alexander of Teck, later Alexander Cambridge, 1st Earl of Athlone (1874-1957), photographed on their wedding day. The five bridesmaids are, from left to right, Princess Mary of Wales, Princess Mary of Teck, the Princesses of Connaught (Margaret and Patricia), and Princess Helen of Waldeck-Pyrmont. The wedding took place on 10 February 1904 at St George's Chapel, Windsor. Date: 10 February 1904

Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone & her children

Princess Alice of Albany, Countess of Athlone (1883-1981), daughter of Prince Leopold and granddaughter of Queen Victoria. She married Prince Alexander of Teck (Earl of Athlone), brother of Queen Mary, in 1904. She is pictured with her two children, Lady May Cambridge, born 1906, who married Captain Henry Abel Smith, Governor of Queensland, and Prince Rupert of Teck, Viscount Trematon, born 1907, who suffered from haemophilia and died in a car accident in 1928. Date: 1918
