McDonnell Model 119 N119M
McDonnell Model 119 N119M (msn 1), at Edwards Air Force Base on 17 May 1959. Designed to meet the UCX requirement for a utility transport to replace the Beech C-45, the 119 failed to attract an order as the United States Air Force preferred the Lockheed JetStar, which it ordered as the C-140. The prototype was re-vamped as a civilian executive transport / feeder-liner for 10 / 29 passengers and re-designated Model 220, but orders dried up when it became too expensive without a military order. The aircraft was used as a company transport until 1965, when it was sold to Flight Safety Foundation at Phoenix, Arizona. Last seen stored with registration N4AZ. Date: 1959
