The top left shows a landscape with two columns supporting an architrave in front of ruins, and the top right shows a statue that could be a Leucothea, with a ship at sea and a country house. The central panel shows a magnificent country house, with multiple characters and a statue of Neptune. The bottom panel shows a square tower with windows, a building supported by arches in water, and a tomb in the distance. Above, a painting found in Resina in 1748 depicting the Genii of Apollo, one with a lyre in a chariot drawn by griffins led by another with a plate. Below, found in Resina in 1749, this painting shows a boy leaving offerings for a snake on a rustic altar inscribed GENIUS LOCI HUJUS MONTIS or the genius of this mountain. Hercules and his son Telephus, who was suckled by a doe.. The most reasonable explanation for this painting is that is shows Hercules and his son Telephus, who was suckled by a doe. The beautiful woman seated holding a staff may be Arcadia or the earth goddess Tellus (Terra). Behind them are Pan with his pipes and pedum or curved stick, and Ceres or Providence pointing to the boy. Excavated in Resina.
