Royal princes return on H.M.S Bacchante, 1880
Welcome Home! The Princess of Wales(Alexandra of Denmark, later Queen Alexandra, consort to King Edward VII of Britain)(1844 1925), affectionately greeting her sons the royal princes on board H.M.S Bacchante, May 1880. Prince Albert Victor(1864-1892), and his brother Prince George (1865 1836), later George V, had just returned to Portsmouth from their first cruise, lasting eight months, of the West Indies on H.M.S Bacchante.
