Promotional postcard for French Leave by Reginald Berkeley which was first produced at the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne on the 7th June 1920, then the Globe Theatre in London on 15th July 1920. Described as a light comedy in three acts, complications ensue when a captains wife visits him while his brigade is resting away from the front. This image shows Charles Grove as Corporal Sykes, a character intended to provide comedy when the play transferred to the Apollo Theatre in London on 27th September 1920. Date: 1920
