Knocking over chimney pots as it came to rest. The Fragments of a Dornier Bomber brought down in the forecourt of Victoria Station by Fighter Pilot Ray Holmes on 15th September 1940. Some of the fragments crashed onto some low roofed properties. The force of their fall broke groups of chimneys and slates on the roofs. Date: September 1940
