The Foundling Hospital Schools, Berkhamsted. The Hospital was founded in 1739 by Captain Thomas Coram and in 1741 began construction of premises at Bloomsbury Fields, London. In 1926, the Hospital moved to new premises at Redhill in Surrey, then in 1935 to a purpose-built school in Berkhamsted. Date: circa 1935
