Fochabers, Scotland - Impressive iron lamp
Fochabers - a village in the Parish of Bellie, in Moray, Scotland. A very fine wrought-iron lampost in Fochabers Square. The lamp (installed in 1906 - close to the date of this photograph?) is dedicated to the Duke of Gordon, who instigated the hydro-electric scheme bringing electricity to the village. The village is home to Baxters, a family-run manufacturer of preserves. Date: circa 1906
