Actress Florence Desmond in her costume for the role in the dance and theatrical revue, Streamline, staged at the Palace Theatre in London in 1934 in which she played Mrs Gladys Potts, the first mother to fly across the North Pole with her baby (pictured!). In real life, she took an interest in the big air race of 1934 to Melbourne won by C. W. A. Scott and T. Campbell Black. Date: 1934
