The Empire at the Palace: a one-and-a-half mile worlds tour. The Festival of Empire at the Crystal Palace (held from May to October 1911), featured the All-Red route, a tour by specially-built electric railway and mechanical boat, around reconstructions of various parts of the British Empire, and past buildings representing the Overseas Dominions. 1.
