The fashion designer Isobel
Isobel, a leading British fashion designer of the 1920s and 30s with an shop on Regent Street. She designed all clothes herself and employed only British staff. Her salon was renowned for its elegant interior in black marble and silver with understated monochrome and grey shop window displays. The caption underneath quotes her as stating, " English women should wear English clothes." Date: 1929
