Edward VII Memorial unveiling at Brighton and Hove
The unveiling of a Memorial to the late King Edward VII on the boundary dividing the boroughs of Brighton and Hove. It was unveiled by the Lord Lieutenant of Sussex, the Duke of Norfolk, in front of a large crowd. The statue represents the Angel of Peace, holding an orb and an olive branch. Edward convalesced several times in Brighton, thereby helping to restore the towns image as a fashionable seaside resort. The memorial is Grade II listed
