Don by Rudolph Wilhelm Besier (2 July 1878 16 June 1942). First produced at the Haymarket Theatre on 12th October 1909. Albert Morrows poster plays on the eponymous heros name and makes literal his role as a knight in shining armour. He holds a quill pen instead of a lance because he is a poet. Touring to the Opera House in Northampton on 3rd October 1910. Date: 1910
