The Dolmabahce Palace, Constantinople. Commisioned by Abdul Mecit (1839-61) - architect Nikogos Balyn who in collaboration with his Father completed construction in 1853. Vast throne room in centre, flanked by two lower wings including crystal staircase and alabaster bathroom. Ataturk used the Palace as his residence. Now used to occasionally host official visitors. Date: circa 1910s
