The Docks, Dundee, Scotland. In the central background you can see the Royal Arch. This extraordinary structure was erected between 1849 and 1853 to commemorate a visit by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert (in 1844). Demolished in early 1964 to make space for the Tay Road Bridge. Date: circa 1906
