Coronation Banquet of King Henry V
Banquet following the Coronation ceremony for King Henry V in 1413, featuring the Kings Champion, an office instituted by William I, who appeared in a ceremony at the banquet up to and including the Coronation of George IV. The Champion would enter Westminster Hall on horseback, and clothed in armour belonging to the King, he threw down the gauntlet and would challenge anyone who did not support the King. As his fee he claimed the suit of armour and the cup from which the King drank. Date: 1413
