Commodore (later Admiral of the Fleet) Sir Reginald Yorke Tyrwhitt (1870-1951), British naval officer. As Commodore of the Arethusa, he won the first naval victory of the First World War against German cruisers in the Bight of Heligoland, a German island in the North Sea. Date: 1914
