Childrens Jewel Fund Sale of Dolls, WW1
A variety of examples of dolls on sale at Sutherland House in aid of the Childrens Jewel Fund, which raised money for infant welfare centres around the country. Among the notable exhibits were a Chu Chin Chow tableau, representing the popular theatrical show donated by Miss Lily Brayton (Mrs Oscar Asche) and Air Force dolls equipped with scale aeroplane and airshop models given by Lady Drogheda, the Flying Countess.
