The Chaperon by Jocelyn Brandon & Frederick Arthur
The Chaperon by Jocelyn Brandon & Frederick Arthur. First produced at Devonshire Park in Eastbourne on 21st April 1013 and at The Strand Theatre on 26th April 1913. Presented by Louis Meyer. The image of a woman between two men indicates the nature of the farce, in which, among other awkward situations, a married woman dining with her lover and a chaperon is more attracted to the latter. Although the artist has signed this illustration it is somewhat difficult to read the surname. Bert Tyemoe? Date: 1913
