WW1 - Home Front - Certificate presented by The Overseas Club (now ROSL, the Royal Over-seas League) on Empire Day 1916 to Gertrude Knight, who aided the effort to send comfort packages to Sailors and Soldiers of the British Empire fighting overseas. The certificate shows the allegiance of the countries of the world (and territories occupied) to either the Allied of Enemy cause. King George V became royal patron of the club in 1916. Date: 1916
