The Cemetery on Balaklava Heights, 1856
Engraving of the Cemetery at Balaklava Heights, where a number of notable British officers were buried during the Crimean War. The prominent tomb is of Admiral Edward Boxer whose work on reorganising the port at Balaklava, especially facilitating the embarkation of supplies, was recognised by Lord Raglan. Boxer died of cholera on 5th June 1855. Date: 1856
