Anti-fascist crowds, some giving the Communist clenched fist salute, gather round a tram in the East End of London. A very large crowd gathered to protest against the proposed march by Sir Oswald Mosleys British Union of Fascists. The march was diverted by the police to avoid confrontation. Date: 4 October 1936
