British models bring the London look to Paris, 1966
A group of four British models pose for the camera in Paris in the Boulevard St. Germain, 1966. They had flown over along with Alice Pollack and Ossie Clark of the Quorum boutique and staff from London Life magazine (fashion editor Shuna Harwood and photographer Peter Akehurst) in order to showcase British style and fashions at the opening of a new nightclub, the Gaff. London Life magazine reports that, from the time London arrived the scene of the Great Couture was all agog at the girls skirt lengths and owl sunglasses. Ironic really, that London should show them how! Date: 1966
