Braine-l Alleud, Belgium - Lions Mound monument
A large manmade hill, topped by the Lion of Waterloo monument, in the Belgian region of Braine l Alleud, standing on the site of the Battle of Waterloo, 18 June 1815, and the Battle of Quatre Bras, which had been fought two days earlier. It was constructed in 1826 at the place where the Prince of Orange was wounded.
