The Boy, a musical comedy presented by Alfred Butt and written by Fred Thompson and Percy Greenbank. It was first produced at the Adelphi Theatre on 14th September 1917 and was to continue running for 801 performances, making it one of the longest runs of any musical theatre piece up to that time.
