The Boy presented by Alfred Butt, written by Fred Thompson and Percy Greenbank. First produced at the Adelphi Theatre on 14th September 1917. It ran for 801 performances one of the longest runs of any musical theatre piece up to that time. W. H. Berry played the hapless magistrate Mr Meebles, the boys stepfather.
